omni (all) + potent (powerful)
All red herrings about making rocks too heavy to lift or making a 5-sided triangle aside, the notion of God’s omnipotence at least implies that God has the potential to do literally anything.

Went ‘tramping’ (‘hiking’ for my U.S. friends!) today with Thomas and a couple friends in the Y-tax (a.k.a. Waitakere Ranges). Was great! :) gotta love that baby bag and flowered pouch thingy :) (photo below)

I thought it would be a bit of fun to put this INCREDIBLE (but I’m not biased) picture up and let people try out some captions for it…
Have fun!
I admit it. I began to tear up at the end of this 15-minute short video called ‘validated‘ (couldn’t work out how to embed it) … :)
5 pounds, 3 ounces — born 4:18am Sunday, December 21, 2008 — 7 weeks pre-mature but his lungs are ‘catching up’ well — the tubes in this picture are feeding and breathing tubes — mum (for US people, this is equivalent to ‘mom’) is recovering great!
(update: more pics being added here!)
It has been said before that “______”s (insert whatever Christian denomination you wish to pick on) are against pre-marital sex because it might lead to dancing… :)
But on a more serious note, the topic of ‘pre-marital sex’ (a.k.a. ‘sex before marriage’) is an interesting one. Many Christians can assume that there is a specific verse in the Bible forbidding it…
There is no such verse.
But really, there is no such thing (as we shall see) as pre-marital sex, either…
Good Ol’ Sam
The louder one screams about the need to be tolerant, the more their very act of screaming demonstrates the equal need to be intolerant (for example, the need to be intolerant of intolerance), which also means their screaming is only a half-truth…
Not 100% false, not 100% true, but a half-truth; which isn’t too helpful, really…
What would be helpful would be to suggest what should be tolerated and what should not – and why…
